Delete your account
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This page explains how to ask for your Audit Pro account and personal data to be deleted, what we delete, what your organisation may keep, and how long it takes. It applies to Audit Pro Mobile (published by Audit-Pro Ltd) and to the Audit Pro portal.
How to ask
Email support@audit-pro.co.uk with the subject “Delete my account”. Please send it from the email address you use to sign in, and tell us the name of your organisation. If you use Audit Pro with more than one organisation, say whether you want to leave one or all of them.
If you write from a different address, we will confirm the request with the address on the account before acting on it. This stops anyone else from closing your account.
You can also ask the person who manages Audit Pro at your organisation. They can switch off your access in the portal straight away.
In the Audit Pro Mobile app you can also request deletion under Settings → Delete my account, or email support@audit-pro.co.uk as above. Either way the request comes to us, and we erase the account as described below.
What happens next
- We acknowledge your request by email.
- We tell your organisation. Your work records are held for it (see below), so it needs to know.
- We erase your app account and the data listed below. This covers the organisation you asked to leave, or all of them if you asked. Your organisation's Audit Pro administrator can also do this directly in the portal.
- We email you to confirm when it is done.
What we delete
For each organisation your account is erased from, we delete:
- your app account, including your email address and name;
- your one-time sign-in codes and your sign-in attempt records;
- our log of emails sent to you on that organisation's behalf;
- any settings controlling which forms you could see;
- app install and download links issued to you;
- your requests for extra access in the app;
- any permissions allowing you to send data into Audit Pro;
- the notification tokens registered for your devices;
- the app diagnostic and crash logs linked to your account; and
- form requests and edit requests that were still waiting for you.
Two small sets of records are not linked to your account, so erasing it cannot reach them. They expire automatically instead:
- diagnostic logs your phone sent before you signed in are deleted after 90 days; and
- records of emails sent to you that are not tied to any organisation are deleted after 180 days. An example is a sign-in code requested before you chose an organisation.
Once your account is erased, the app can no longer renew your sign-in, and you cannot sign in again. A session already open on a phone stops working within 24 hours at most.
This page covers your Audit Pro Mobile account. If you also have a login for the Audit Pro portal, say so in your request.
What your organisation may keep, and why
Audit Pro is a workplace tool. The forms, inspections, reports and other work records you create through Audit Pro, including their photos and signatures, and any timesheets, are records held for the organisation you completed them for. That organisation is the controller of those records under UK data protection law, and Audit-Pro stores them on its behalf.
Organisations often have to keep these records, for example to show that an inspection took place, to meet health and safety or contractual obligations, or for payroll. Deleting your account therefore does not delete them. Specifically, your organisation keeps:
- Forms you submitted. Each still shows the name it was completed under, because a record has to show who completed it. The link from that name to your email address and account is removed.
- Requests that were already finished, such as completed jobs and edit requests. Your email address is blanked on finished edit requests.
- Timesheet and pay records, if your organisation uses timesheets.
Your organisation decides how long to keep these, and we will pass your request to it.
If you want particular work records deleted, ask your organisation. We will carry out any deletion it instructs.
For our business customers' account holders, we keep invoices and billing records for as long as UK law requires us to keep accounting records.
How long it takes
- Access switched off: we aim to do this within 2 working days of confirming your request. Any session already open on a phone then stops working within 24 hours.
- Deletion completed and confirmed: within one month of your request, as UK data protection law requires. If a request is unusually complex we may need up to two further months; if so, we will tell you why within the first month.
- Backups: our encrypted database backups are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically. Deleted data therefore disappears from backups within 30 days of being deleted from the live system. We do not restore deleted personal data from a backup except to recover from a system failure. If we ever have to, we will delete it again.
Data on your phone
We cannot reach into your phone. To remove everything Audit Pro Mobile has stored on it, sign out and then uninstall the app. Signing out on its own removes your sign-in details but leaves any stored forms in place. Before uninstalling, send any forms you want to keep. Forms that have not been sent exist only on the phone and will be lost.
If your organisation stops using Audit Pro
When an organisation leaves Audit Pro, what happens to its records is governed by our contract with it. You can still ask us to delete your own account at any time, as described above.
